Sister Jeanne Thurin, HM teaches Farm-Based Environmental Education on the Villa Maria Farm and in classrooms. Having taught all grades in elementary school for more than 30 years, she brings a special expertise in hands-on science and environmental education. Sr. Jeanne has a B.S. in Education degree from St. John College of Cleveland (now closed) and an M.A. in Religious Education from La Salle University in Philadelphia. She is an Ohio Certified Environmental Educator and Ohio Certified Volunteer Naturalist, and is certified to facilitate all the Project WILD workshops as well as Project Learning Tree, Healthy Water, Healthy People and Project Food, Land and People.
